Crosswalk Analysis 

A process used to identify and connect various similar or different elements— such as terms in a metadata model—to each other to allow for a better under- standing of the subject under review. It enables the connection of these elements for decision making and planning to harmonize the terms in a framework for potential improved use and the enhancement of the access points to the subject.
