File Naming Convention
A file naming convention, or simply, a naming convention, is a structured set of guidelines for the creation of standardized file names. The information included in the names of files is intended to describe the primary “aboutness” of the file and may include such pertinent content as date, subject prefix, product ID, SKU, and even location and gender, depending upon the requirements for the business unit and the file creators.
